About

Third Shift was conceived a summer afternoon in 2004, in the

sadly now -defunct gaming shop Pandora's Box, during a bender of Magic:

The Gathering, Pocky, and caffeine. The basic ideas for the universe of

Third Shift were expanded upon at the authors workplace over the next few

weeks, then the sketches were put away and he focused his attention on

something else.

Fast forward to December of 2005, where temporarily laid off from work and

having nothing better to do, the author started working on it again.

Taking the basic precepts that he had thought up a year and a half

earlier, the author expanded the plot line, wrote some scripts, and flesh

out the characters.

Then he got another job and promptly forgot about the whole mess.

Now, a year after that the author remembered the project, and got serious,

learning HTML, etc. Then he posted it on line, and the rest, as they say,

is history.

The Author:

Born: April, 22nd, 1981.

Where: Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Where I live: A small city in Northeastern Iowa surrounded by cornfields.

(I kid you not, our mall has cornfields around it.)

How I got from Arkansas to Iowa: Lotta moving.

Education: High School, Bachelors from the School of Hard Knocks,

currently working on my Masters.

Hobbies: Art (duh), video games, anime, manga, reading in general, guns,

women, cars, tinkering with damn near anything, D&D, politics (independent

with right wing tendancies- I'm a libertarian at heart), writing, fine

cigars, good whiskey, and a whole lotta other stuff.

Influences: Too many to count. Notables include Peter Hathaway Capstick,

Brahms Stoker, Ann Rice, and Masamune Shirow.

Description: people tell me I look a lot like Andre the Giant, but that's

their word not mine. I like to work nights, am NOT a morning person by any

stretch of the imagination, and I smoke like a chimney, drink like a fish,

and cuss like a sailor.

You'd never believe that I was a Latter Day Saint....
